Looking to improve the rear suspension support of your Kia Niro? Whether you drive a
Hybrid,
Plug-In Hybrid, or
Niro EV, our helper spring kits offer a simple solution to reduce rear sag and improve handling when the vehicle is fully loaded.
Improved Ride Height and Stability
Enhanced Driving Safety
Better Comfort and Control
Less Wear and Maintenance
Give your Kia Niro the rear support it needs when you load up with passengers, groceries, bikes, or a hitch rack. Our MAD helper springs and reinforced coil springs help keep the car level, improve stability and braking, and preserve everyday comfort — backed by TÜV / RDW approvals.
- Reduce rear squat under payloads for safer, more composed handling.
- Better stability in crosswinds and over undulating roads.
- No compressors or airlines; low-maintenance, set-and-forget.
- Most installs take about an hour.
Note: Suspension upgrades do not increase GVWR. Always stay within the manufacturer’s limits.

Kia Niro helper springs — quick answers
Will these make my Niro ride harsh?
No. Auxiliary and reinforced coils are tuned to engage progressively under load, preserving OE-like comfort when unladen.
Do these increase payload capacity?
No. They improve support and stability under load but do not change the vehicle’s GVWR. Always follow the OEM limits.
Which kit fits my powertrain?
For DE (2016–2022): use HV-493158 for HEV and HV-373278 for the EV (e-Niro). For SG2 (2022–present): HV-491115 fits cars with a multilink rear axle. If you’re unsure, contact us.
Will this affect my EV range?
The springs add minimal weight. Most owners choose them to keep the vehicle level and stable when carrying cargo, which can improve confidence and consistency more than they affect range.
🔧 Why Install Helper Springs on a Niro?
While the Kia Niro is not a cargo van or SUV, it’s often used for daily commuting, long trips, and light utility work — and that’s exactly where helper springs make a difference:
- Maintain proper ride height with passengers or luggage
- Reduce bounce and sway on uneven roads
- Protect factory suspension components from premature wear
- Improve safety and comfort under moderate load

✅ Compatible with U.S. Niro Models:
- Kia Niro Hybrid (since 2017)
- Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid
- Kia Niro EV
Installation is bolt-on, requires no welding or cutting, and includes all mounting hardware and instructions. Most kits can be installed in under 90 minutes.
